Average Inventory
Average Inventory is the calculation used to estimate the number or value of a set of goods or a particular good during two or more specified time periods (also known as the sampling period). To take an example, daily inventory levels over a two-week period of time, hourly inventory levels over one day, and so on. The average inventory for the same total period of time can fluctuate widely depending upon the sampling period being used.
